  • South Zone. Closed to ice fishing; closed to all fishing December 1 – March 31; closed to the taking of smelts (direct tributaries also closed). Togue (lake trout) 3 / day, 14 in min, only 1 may exceed 18 in. October 1 – November 30 artificial-lures-only with all trout, salmon and togue released alive. As a public drinking-water supply, the Auburn Water District closes the southern portion of the lake (south of a marked line near the Route 4 boat launch) to all water-related activity, and no motor vehicles are allowed on the ice (ATVs and snowmobiles excepted).
