Terms of Use

Effective 2026-05-20

Using fishregs

By using fishregs, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What fishregs is for

fishregs aggregates publicly available US state fishing-regulation information — license fees, season windows, bag and size limits, gear restrictions — for the 2026regulation year. It is reference content, not legal advice and not a substitute for reading the official state fish & wildlife agency's regulations.

Accuracy and emergency closures

We work to keep every page current, but regulations change mid-season — emergency closures, slot adjustments, opener shifts. State agencies are the authoritative source. Before fishing, verify the current rule against the official agency link on the relevant state page.

fishregsis provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for citations, fines, lost catch, lost trip costs, or any other consequence of relying on information that turned out to be out-of-date or incorrect.

Not a license vendor, not affiliated with any agency

fishregs does not sell fishing licenses. Buy your license directly from the state agency — links are provided on every state page. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any state, federal, or tribal fish & wildlife agency.
