A valid NEW YORK OR PENNSYLVANIA fishing licence is required for all anglers age 16 and older on the Delaware River between NY and PA when fishing from a boat or from either shore — NEW JERSEY licences are NOT VALID on this boundary water (a key distinction from the downstream Delaware Water Gap NRA reach where PA + NJ reciprocity governs). Park-specific tackle rules: maximum TWO LINES per angler; LIVE BAIT (live baitfish) is PROHIBITED. Pennsylvania licence holders also require a PA Trout Permit to take, kill, or possess trout.
