Either a Nevada OR an Arizona state fishing licence is required — NV and AZ both honor each other on Lake Mead and Lake Mohave through an Interstate Boundary Waters arrangement, but a use stamp on the non-resident licence may be required to fish from the opposite-state shore. No NPS permit.

  • Nevada Interstate Boundary Water Licence (NDOW) and Arizona's equivalent stamp are the explicit reciprocal credentials — verify which add-on you need for the side you launch from versus fish toward.
  • Striped bass are the marquee fishery (no NV bag limit, AZ has a 10-fish limit south of the dam); largemouth, smallmouth, channel cat, and bluegill all follow the host state's regs.
  • Below Hoover Dam on the Colorado River (Lake Mohave tailwater and the willow beach trout reach), AZ-only water — AZ trout stamp required for retention.
  • Quagga mussel decontamination is mandatory before launching any boat that has visited another water body in the prior 30 days.
