Steelhead Alley is the 80-mile stretch of Lake Erie shoreline from Vermilion east to the Pennsylvania state line, where the Ohio Division of Wildlife stocks Manistee-strain steelhead annually in five tributaries — Vermilion, Rocky, Chagrin, Grand, and Conneaut Creek. Returning adults run the tributaries Oct – April, with peak action around fall rain pulses and spring snowmelt. Bag is 2 / day with a 12-inch minimum across the Lake Erie watershed.
